With India facing its second wave of Covid, the whole country’s gone for a toss. Everyday there has been lakhs of cases and it seems never ending. Now Bollywood too seem to have fallen prey to the covid as alot of celebs have tested positive and looks like the entire clan is falling sick. 

The most recent case happens to be Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone who tested positive for Covid-19. Deepika is currently in Bengaluru with her family. Padukone’s father Prakash Padukone, mother Ujjala and sister Anisha have also tested positive for the virus. Deepika was recently snapped with her husband Ranveer Singh at the Mumbai airport when the duo were flying out to Bengaluru to spend some time with Padukone’s family.

The report about the actress testing positive for the virus was confirmed by International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), who took to Twitter to share the news. Earlier on Tuesday, her father, badminton icon Prakash Padukone had to be admitted to a hospital in Bengaluru after he reported high fever. He is currently undertreatment for coronavirus and is recovering. He is likely to be discharged from the hospital soon. “Around 10 days back, Prakash, his wife (Ujjala) and second daughter (Anisha), they developed symptoms and got themselves tested and the results came out to be positive,” Vimal Kumar, a close friend of the legendary shuttler and director at the Prakash Padukone Badminton Academy (PPBA), told PTI.

On work front, Deepika has several high-profile films lined up.. She will be seen opposite husband Ranveer Singh in ’83’, which accounts the saga of India’ first cricket World Cup win in 1983. Whereas she also stars in Amitabh Bachchan and Prabhas starrer film, and in Shakun Batra’s next with Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi.
