After Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa, Opposition leader Siddaramaiah tests positive for COVID-19

Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa tested positive for the COVID-19 on August 2. Two days later, Opposition leader Siddaramaiah has announced that he has been hospitalized for testing positive for corona.

BS Yediyurappa took to his Twitter account on August 2 to share the news about him testing positive for the deadly virus. The CM of Karnataka tweeted, “I have tested positive for coronavirus. Whilst I am fine, I am being hospitalised as a precaution on the recommendation of doctors. I request those who have come in contact with me recently to be observant and exercise self-quarantine.”

This news sent shock-waves across the state with many worrying about the health of BS Yediyurappa. Along with citizens, many leaders wished him speedy recovery. Siddaramaiah, the former Karnataka CM, tweeted, “I wish Shri. B S Yediyurappa a speedy recovery & to return with good health to continue his work for the people. @CMofKarnataka @BSYBJP

The Karnataka CM tweeted a video to thank everyone and convey that he is doing at the hospital. He wrote on August 3, “After being hospitalised on the advice of doctors, I am in good spirits with mild symptoms. I am grateful for all your good wishes & blessings and will get back to my duties soon. I urge everyone to wear masks, maintain social distance & take all precautions to fight Corona.”

A day later, Congress leader Siddaramaiah confirmed the news about him testing positive for coronavirus. The Opposition leader tweeted on August 4, “I have been tested positive for #Covid19 & also been admitted to the hospital on the advice of doctors as a precaution. I request all those who had come in contact with me to check out for symptoms & to quarantine themselves.”
