The Army spends 3.5 lakh a day running its emergency-created, coronavirus quarantine facility in Manesar that catered for over 400 people, facing a new problem of people making special demands, such as cooked food, single rooms, and non-barracks and “five-star care.”

Some people who belonged to a party of 83 who were traveling from Italy by air from India requested single rooms when they arrived in Manesar on Wednesday morning. The issue occurred. Many of these people who were taken to the hospital refused first to board a bus. Ruckus was on the grounds. Officers in charge of the building were then able to reassure them that security conditions had come up for the project.

Sources suggested that the problem occurs as the Army operates under challenging circumstances. Around 60 of its staff were assigned by the military to operate the building. It was intended to handle the party arriving from Italy while running the cruise ship Diamond Princess off the coast of Japan for 119 passengers.

Colonel Aman Anand, the Army Spokesman, said 265 persons were quarantined at Manesar and another facility in Hindon under Military control. Sources also added that 58 people had been transported from Iran via aircraft-17. Anand also said that more people are going to be returning to India and military forces in Jaisalmer, Gorakhpur, Jodhpur, Jhansi, Devlali, Chennai, and Suratgarh can follow them in other quarantine zones. Meanwhile, reports suggested that more than 400 passengers would be returning to Jaisalmer from Iran on two planes.

One of the first quarantine centers set up in India was the Manesar site. Approximate Rs 3.5 lakhs a day for operating the facility was paid by the Indian Army. 60 employees operated the facility. This poses challenges for medical and administrative staff in the facility to operate efficiently.

But given the limited time, it was produced and because in an emergency, there are different requirements for people, for example, because they do not want the fried food to be consumed or boiled rice. After all, they do not want oil on their milk.
