Arvind Kejriwal extends helping hands to Cyclone Amphan victims in West Bengal and Odisha

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has extended his support to Mamata Banarjee and Naveen Patnaik and assured to help the victims of Cyclone Amphan in West Bengal and Odisha in any manner.

Cyclonic Amphan has caused widespread damage over East India and Bangladesh in May 2020. The super storm killed at least 72 and 2 people in West Bengal and Odisha, respectively and left a trail of destruction and damage on Thursday. While these states are struggling to recover from the COVID-19 pandemic, the cyclone has come as another curse to them.

Many celebs and political leaders have expressed shock over the damage caused by Cyclonic Amphan. Arvind Kejriwal, who himself has a tough time in fighting the ongoing coronavirus scare in Delhi, came forward to support the people of West Bengal and Odisha. The Chief Minister asked the CMs of both states Mamata Banarjee and Naveen Patnaik on the kind of help they are looking for.

Arvind Kejriwal tweeted on May 22, “Dear @MamataOfficial didi, on behalf of the people of Delhi, I extend our full support and solidarity with you and the people of West Bengal in the wake of the destruction caused by #CycloneAmphan. Kindly let us know if we could help in any manner in this hour of crisis.”

The Chief Minister of Delhi added, “Dear @Naveen_Odisha ji, on behalf of the people of Delhi, I extend our full solidarity and support with you and the people of Odisha in the wake of the destruction caused by #CycloneAmphan. Kindly let us know if we could help in any manner in this hour of crisis.”
