Bangalore rains: Videos of lightening, thunder, heavy rain and winds lashing city trend on Twitter

Some parts of Bangalore witnessed heavy rain fall on May 26 and the videos featuring the lightening, thunder, heavy rain and winds lashing the city trended and created a lot of buzz on Twitter.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted rainfall in Bangalore till May 30. The IMD said that the sky would be partly cloudy with one or two spells of rain or thundershowers. The maximum temperature in the city is likely to be 36 degrees Celcius. It is likely to drop to 34 degrees as the week progresses.

Heavy rains and winds have already been lashed the city in the last couple of days. Chamarajpeth, Hanumanthnagar, Jayanagar, Shrinagar, Yashwantapura, Eejipur, Basavanagudi, Mysore road, Naiduhalli, JC Road and few other parts of the city witnessed similar scene on Tuesday night.

Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds uprooted several trees creating traffic problems in some of these areas of the city. The reports of waterlogging and roads caving-in also came to light. A few areas faced power cut issues due to the winds. Many people were shocked to see the lightening and thunders.

Some of people captured the scenes of lightening and thunders on their mobile phones from their balconies and shared them on Twitter and other social media channels. A few of those videos went viral and created a lot of buzz. Here are some of such clips shared on Twitter.
