Director Nitesh Tiwari’s latest venture Bawaal starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor has received positive reviews and ratings from Atlee, Taran Adarsh, Sumit Kadel and other critics on Twitter.

Story: Bawaal is a romantic drama, which has been written by Ashwini Iyer Tiwari. Ajay Dikshit is an image-conscious narcissist who teaches history at a school in Lucknow. He finds himself and his image in jeopardy when one of his students slaps in frustration over a doubt regarding World War II. Out of despair, Ajay decides to visit places across Europe he deems important to the war, tagging his wife Nisha along with him. How this journey changes their interpersonal perspective and views on interpersonal conflict forms the crux of the movie.

Analysis: Nitesh Tiwari has had a different story and a well-knit screenplay Bawaal. The first half of the film is quite engaging, but the pace slackens in the second half. Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor have delivered fantastic performances, which are the highlights of the movie.

A minor critique would be that the pacing slackens intermittently in the second hour… Also, #Bawaal could’ve done with a better soundtrack.”

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️ #Bawaal is a touching film with #VarunDhawan & #JanhviKapoor living their roles to the fullest. 1st half dominates with the town setting, entertaining fragments & emotional bits. Impressed with the direction, cinematography & the ensemble! #BawaalReview The 2nd Half seems to be a bit dragged and the instant switch between grave moments to normal moments somehow does not maintain the authenticity and does not work for me in parts. The music in the film does not block the progress of the film, rather amplifies the impact of certain scenes which is a good thing. All the actors including Manoj Pahwa have performed really well. The film has certain loopholes & the writing is a mess in some areas but on the whole, the final output is not underwhelming.

#BawaalReview ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #Bawaal is a STIRRING & JOYOUS RIDE. A Masterclass from @niteshtiwari22 in how to present a sensitive subject with right dose of Humor, Entertainment , emotions & message. He amalgamated World War 2 references with human psyche & relationships in a simplest manner that everyone can understand & relate with. Nitesh Tiwari along with his screenplay writers Piyush Gupta, Nikhil Mehrotra & Shreyas jain deserves distinction marks for doing justice to the wonderful story written by Ashwini Tiwari Iyer. #JhanviKapoor is the Soul of Bawaal. She portrayed the pain & challenges of Nisha with excellence as Her eyes & silence speaks more than the dialogues given to her. This role will uplift and empower lot of girls out there for sure. #VarunDhawan has done well as Ajju Bhai. He managed to display grey shades of  his character with conviction & also makes you laugh throughout with his quirkiness. Kudos to Producers #SajidNadiadwala for backing a brave subject like bawaal, it need lot of guts in telling stories like such. Back to Back Success for him after #SatyaPremKiKatha. Overall Bawaal is a Pure family Entertainer which has heart in the right place. It  would’ve done 90-100 cr business easily had it released in Cinemas. Nevertheless Releasing on @PrimeVideoIN would give it a much deserving wider and global reach.
