BJP chief K Annamalai slammed minister TRB Rajaa’s tweet on Chennai Super Kings (CSK) winning Indian Premiere League (IPL) 2023, saying that it is not the Dravidian model victory.

“Everyone likes the Chennai Super Kings team even though there is no player from Tamil Nadu in the team. But there are three Tamilians in the Gujarat Titans team and one Tamilian player scored 96 runs in the match against CSK. How can it be said that the Dravidian model won in IPL?” Tamil Nadu BJP chief K Annamalai on state’s minister TRB Rajaa’s tweet on CSK’S IPL 2023 win.

The Chennai Super Kings lifted the IPL trophy for the fifth time, beating the Gujrat Titans in the final match held on May 29, 2023. Soon after the CSK won the IPL, Dr TRB Rajaa congratulated the team and described it as a historical win. The TN minister took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying that Gujrat may be strong, but Chennai has beaten it several times in the past.
