Director Ayan Mukerji’s Hindi movie Brahmāstra Part 1 – Shiva starring Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni has received mixed reviews from the viewers.

Brahmāstra is a fantasy action-adventure film, which has been written Ayan Mukerji. Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Namit Malhotra, and Mukerji have produced the film with a budget of Rs 400 crore under their banners Dharma Productions, Starlight Pictures, and Prime Focus in association with Star Studios, along with Ranbir Kapoor and Marijke DeSouza.

Brahmastra story: Shiva (Ranbir Kapoor) is a DJ and he has a strange connection with the element of fire. He also holds the power to awaken the supernatural weapon, Brahmastra. On the other hand, Junoon (Mouni Roy), the queen of dark forces is also on a quest to get hold of the Brahmastra.

With its forced Hindu mythology story, Brahmastra is low on content and lacks vitality, momentum, and intrigue. The first Half of the movie is interesting, but its second half is nosedives with its average content. However, the climax ends on a satisfactory note, say the critics and film goers.

Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna Akkineni have delivered brilliant performances, which are among the highlights of Brahmastra. The movie has rich production values and the VFX is the big attraction of the movie. The background score and picturisation are the other highlights in the technical front, add the viewers.
