Tamil Nadu BJP President K Annamalai said that none is afraid of the case filed against 3,500 BJP leaders and caders for holding a candlelight march against the DMK government in Chennai.
Along with ex-servicemen, K Annamalai met Governor RN Ravi at Raj Bhavan on February 21, urging action against the murder of an army man allegedly by a DMK ward councillor in Krishnagiri. Talking to ANI, the TN BJP president said, “The ex-servicemen conveyed their grievances to the Governor and expressed they are unsafe in Tamil Nadu. Governor listened to ex-servicemen and he has taken it very strictly. Governor also informed us that he is pained by whatever has happened. He promised that he will look into it and get back to them.”
ANI tweeted, “A case has been filed against 3,500 BJP leaders and caders under sections 143, 151 IPC r/w 41(6) for conducting candle light march without proper permission: Chennai Police Officials.”
Talking about the case, K Annamalai said, “No one is going to be afraid of an FIR. In this case, all we want is for the CM to seek an apology from the family(of the slain Army jawan)for what his party member has done. We’ll intensify our actions in the coming days…This is the 84th FIR against me.”
