Former IPS officer K Annamalai, the President of Tamil Nadu BJP, vented his anger against Congress, saying it has hit the lowest in appeasement politics by equating PFI, a banned terror outfit Bajrang Dal.
In its manifesto, Congress equated PFI with Bajrang Dal and stated, “We will take decisive action as per law including imposing a ban on any such organisations.”
K Annamalai, who was furious with the Congress’ manifesto, took to his Twitter account and came down heavily upon the party. In a series of tweets, the BJP leader stated that PFI is a terrorist outfit and it has banned the Indian government. He went to mention the number of crimes it has committed and other anti-national activities it has been involved in.
Here are the series of tweets posted by K Annamalai on his account.
Congress has hit the lowest in appeasement politics by equating PFI, a banned terror outfit, with an organisation like Bajrang Dal. Whitewashing crimes & acts of terror by desperately painting an alternative image has always been Congress’ way of spoiling the fabric of our nation.
PFI is a terror organisation & is banned by the Government of India along with its affiliate organisations effective 27.09.2022 for the following reasons. – PFI had shown sheer disrespect to the constitutional authority of our country & was a significant threat to our internal security.
– Obtaining explosives to target prominent people & places, cold-blooded killings of persons associated with other faiths: this was what PFI was known for. – PFI activists disturbed peace & tranquillity in southern states of our country and were responsible for rampant killings in Kerala, Tamil Nadu & Karnataka.
– PFI had links with Global terror organisations such as ISIS & JMB, and members of PFI had participated in terror activities in Syria, Iraq & Afghanistan. Congress is known for its links with the PFI in the past when – 1700 cases against PFI extremists were dropped
– Former Home Minister of the Congress govt in Karnataka refused to ban PFI in 2018 despite overwhelming evidence. – Congress’ off-the-book alliance & understanding with PFI during the 2018 elections. Congress should fight the elections on the plank of welfare & development and tender an unconditional apology to Bajrang Dal.
