Young cricket player Prithvi Shaw won the hearts of Delhi Daredevils fans as he scored a smashing 99 runs off just 55 balls against Kolkata Knight Riders at the Feroze Shah Kotlacricket stadium in a high-pressure chase.

The right-handed opening batsman is a rising star in the Indian cricket team. Prithvi Shaw was formerly the Indian national under-19 cricket captain. Prithvi holds the record for being the youngest Indian to score a century on a Test debut.

The Delhi Daredevils werethe only team in the Indian Premier League (IPL) who have never made it to the finals of the tournament, even once.The Delhi team had topped the charts with impressive runs and have led the table in the league phase. However, the Delhi Daredevils have never managed to reach the summit clash in the 11 years of its existence until 2018.

The Delhi team also showed a series of underperformances. The team was relaunched in a new avatar in 2019, and the title of the team was changed to Delhi Capitals. During a live chat session for the Delhi Capitals, the young batsman Prithvi Shaw was asked who his favourite opening partner is, and he immediately replied saying,Shikhar Dhawan. “Shikhar Dhawan because I have opened with him most,” Shaw said during an Instagram live session.
