Tamil superstar Vijay came to the polling booth in a bicycle to cast his vote on Tuesday. Many people on social media opine that it is the Thalapathy’s way of protesting against the BJP’s for hiking the price of petrol and diesel.

Tamil Nadu will elect the 16th Legislative Assembly by voting on April 6 and the polling is taking place in a single phase. The Election Commission of India (ECI) has made all the arrangement for the polling, which began across over 88,000 booths in the state at 7.00 am on Tuesday. Several noted celebrities arrived at polling booths for voting early in the morning and Vijay was one among them.

Wearing a green t-shirt with a face mask, Vijay was seen riding a red and black coloured bicycle to the booth located in Neelankarai, Chennai on Tuesday morning. With the photos and videos going viral, this incident grabbed the attention of everyone by coming to the voting booth in a bicycle. This development kickstarted a debate with many theories doing rounds on social media. Many feel that the actor came on a bicycle to protest against the rising prices of diesel and petrol.
