Director Abhinav Kashyap attacks Salman Khan’s family and accuses them of bullying
The death of Sushant Singh Rajput has raised many questions in the Indian film industry. Director Abhinav Kashyap recently took to Facebook to share a long detailed incidence of first-hand bullying in the industry by the Khans. Here Khans refer to Salman Khan’s family specifically as he narrates the incidence of how he was sidelined from the Dabangg 2 set after directing the Salman Khan and Arbaaz Khan starrer Dabangg back in 2010. Abhinav Kashyap has launched a scathing and bold attack on the Khan family, saying that they destroyed his career by bullying him and sabotaging his films. He recalls an incident with his movie Beasharam the Ranbir Kapoor starrer in 2013 when Salman khan attempted to prevent the release of the film. He starts his post by saying ‘The suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput brings to the forefront a much bigger problem of what many of us have been dealing with. Exactly what might compel a person to commit suicide?? I fear his death is just the tip of the iceberg just like the #metoo movement was for a much bigger malaise in Bollywood…’ He dedicated his post to struggling actors and creative artists and went on to say that the ‘Bandra cartel exists’.
His renowned brother Anurag Kashyap was flooded with questions on whether he agrees with his brother’s statements to which he replied that they had already parted ways years back. He prefers to stay out of his brother’s business. Salman Khan responded to his comments by saying, “Let him do whatever he wants, I am not going to waste time reacting to what he says.” While his brother Arbaaz Khan and father Salim Khan have decided to take legal action against the director who has accused them of harassment, he says that they had no interaction with him since the start of their project Dabangg which Arbaaz directed and he doesn’t understand where all the hate is coming from. Director Abhinav Kashyap also condoned the death of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput and asked the government to conduct a thorough investigation on the circumstances that lead to the death of the actor.
