Former United Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Kiran Kumar Reddy has gone on to slam the Congress leadership after joining the BJP on Friday and said that the Congress leadership doesn’t think on his own and doesn’t listen to anyone’s advice.
My association with the Congress party started earlier with my family in 1952 and it is nearly 60-plus-years connection. My father was MLA four times from 1962 and I was MLA four times. I never imagined that I will have to leave the party. My father died very young and in fact, the opposition party was ready to give me a seat, if I change the party. But I said no it and I will continue in Congress party.
Expressing his anger against the Congress leadership, Kiran Kumar Reddy said, “Unfortunately, what has happened is that the Congress party is losing state after state due to bad and wrong decisions. They don’t interact with the people and don’t take the opinion of the leaders. It is not the story of one state, but of the whole country. There is an old saying that reads, “My king is very intelligent, but he doesn’t think on his own and https://twitter.com/ANI/status/1644232666395574273doesn’t listen to anyone’s advice”.”
The ex-AP CM added, “They want authority to control, but they don’t work hard. They don’t want responsibility. If we have to stitch a dress, we need to approach a tailor. We can’t ask a barber to stitch a dress just because he has a scissor. Due to a lack of interaction, they don’t know the characters of the leaders and who should be assigned what jobs in a state for the party to move forward.”
