The makers of Kangana Ranaut starrer Thalaivi have delayed its release and they said that it is their support towards Narendra Modi’s government during the tough times of Covid-19 outbreak.
The producers of Thalaivi recently launched its trailer and announced that the movie would be released in the cinema halls on April 23. The video received fantastic response and raised the bar of curiosity and expectations from the movie. While the audience across the globe wait for the film to hit the marquee, the makers have announced a sad news for them.
Vishnu Vardhan Induri, Shaailesh R Singh and Zee Studios, the producers of Thalaivi, released a statement to the media and public, announcing its delay. They thanked the viewers for their wonderful response for its trailer and said, “Dear Audience, We are extremely grateful for the tremendous response and unconditional love you’ve shown for ‘Thalaivi’ trailer.”
The producers continued, “As a team, we have sacrificed a lot in making this film and thank every member of the cast and crew who supported us in this challenging but remarkable journey. Since the film has been made in multiple languages, we would like to release it in all languages on the same day.”
They added, “But with an alarming rise in COVID 19 cases, subsequent precautions and lockdowns, even though our film is ready for release on 23rd April, we want to extend all the support towards the government rules and regulations and have decided to postpone release of Thalaivi.”
The producers are confident that the delay in the release of Thalaivi would not affect its prospects at the box office. They concluded, “Though we are deferring the release date, we are confident that we will receive as much love from you all then as well. Stay safe and looking forward to everyone’s support.”
