Filmmaker Karan Johar has returned to Instagram to wish his fans on Independence Day.In his latest post, Karan shared a picture of the Tricolour and wrote, “To our great nation….a treasure trove of culture, heritage and history…. #happyindependenceday … JAI HIND.” Celebrities such as Janhvi Kapoor and Neha Dhupia left heart emojis on his post. One Instagram user commented, “Great day to return!” Karan has restricted comments on his posts. This is the first time since June that Karan posted on social media following the big mess on Sushant Singh Rajput’s demise and him being dragged into the matter due to his nepotism involvement.
Karan was subjected to relentless trolling and online hate after Sushant’s death and was held responsible for the reason Sushant had decided to take the decision as Sushant seemed unhappy with his Bollywood career. The actor’s fans have been targeting Karan and star kids such as Alia Bhatt, other film producers and large film studios for not allowing Sushant and other outsiders a fair opportunity in Bollywood. Many since them have come forward expressing their views and experiences on nepotism and the toxic culture in the Bollywood industry.
After Sushant’s death, Karan had shared a picture with him and also a note expressing regret about his death and not being there enough for Sushant. This had led to a huge mess on social media as many blamed Karan for his nepotism involved and being a huge reason as to why Bollywood is filled with such toxic culture. After severe backlash Karan had gone MIA on social media and only today was seen posting after a long time. Perhaps being back to social media is a small indication that Karan is finally letting go of the things people had said and wants to start fresh. What do you think? Let us know in the comments below.
