Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that the Oscar Awards for RRR movie and The Elephant Whisperers are the pride of the and the nation and Narendra Modi’s government shouldn’t take their credit.
MM Keeravaani’s Naatu- Naatu from RRR movie and The Elephant Whisperers recently won the Oscar Awards for Best Music (Original Song) and Best Documentary (Short Subject) categories. This is the first time Indian films have won Academy Awards. Many political leaders including Narendra Modi congratulated the teams of both the movies on their victory
Talking about the Oscar Awards at the Rajya Sabha, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge said, “I also join to congratulate both the awardees. For the first time, such an award is given to Naatu Naatu (from RRR movie) and The Elephant Whisperers. Both the movies are coming from south India and it is a great pride for us.”
Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition took a dig Prime Minister Narendra Modi as he added, “We are very proud and we are with you. But my only request is that the ruling party should not take credit and say ‘we have directed, we have written, Modi ji has directed’. They should not say that. That is my only request.”
