Golden Globe award winner music composer MM Keeravaani and lyricist Chandrabose received the Best Original Song at 95th Academy Awards for the song Naatu Naatu from SS Rajamouli’s movie RRR.

Naatu Naatu, which won the Golden Globe for Best Original Song in January, nominated for Best Song Category along with Lady Gaga’s Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Rihanna’s Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, This Is A Life from Everything Everywhere All At Once, and Applause from Tell It Like A Woman.

The organisers of the 95th Academy Awards announced the winners list at a grand event held in Los Angeles, USA on March 13. Soon after receiving the award, the makers of RRR Movie took to its Twitter account and wrote, “THE OSCAR MOMENT ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥 #NaatuNaatu #Oscars95 #RRRMovie.”

The producers of RRR movie added, “We’re blessed that #RRRMovie is the first feature film to bring INDIA’s first ever #Oscar in the Best Song Category with #NaatuNaatu! 💪🏻 No words can describe this surreal moment. 🙏🏻 Dedicating this to all our amazing fans across the world. Jr NTR, who accompanied SS Rajmouli and Ram Charan at the Oscars event, tweeted his own photo featuring himself flaunting the award and wrote, “And we did it… #Oscars95 #NaatuNaatu #RRRMovie. Congratulations @mmkeeravaani Sir ji, Jakkanna @ssrajamouli, @boselyricist garu, the entire team and the nation 🇮🇳.” Ram Charan tweeted a note on this victory and a video and wrote, “We have won!! We have won as Indian Cinema!! We won as a country!!
