Director Om Raut’s much-awaited movie Adipurush starring Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan, is all set to collect Rs 140 crore gross at the worldwide box office on the first day of its release, predicts Sumit Kadel.
Adipurush is a mythological movie based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. The film, which is set for worldwide release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada Malayalam on June 16, has been creating ripples in the media ever since it was announced in 2020. It has been made with the heavy budget of Rs 500 crore and its promos have generated a lot of curiosity among viewers across the globe.
The hype surrounding Adipurush created a lot demand for its tickets, which were opened for booking one advance before its release. The makers claim that the film registered advance booking of 1.10 lakh for its opening day. Film trade observer Sumit Kadel tweeted, “#Adipurush has sold 1.10 Lakh tickets for Day-1 at National Chains Multiplexes (PVR – Inox – Cinepolis) till Tuesday 8.30 PM.”
Adipurush is set to breaking of highest advance booking by time it hits the marquee. Sumit added, “The pace will escalate henceforth & its pre sale for the opening day at NC expected to close around 3-4 lakhs tickets by Thursday night making it one of highest Pre Sale for a Bollywood film of All Time. Film is registering excellent advance across Centers in Hindi belt. #Prabhas.”
