Southern actor Prakash Raj has applauded Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan and laughed off Vivek Agnihotri’s The Kashmir Files, calling is a Narendra Modi’s nonsense film and not worth for Oscar Award.
Prakash Raj, who has been criticising vehemently for several years, was at it again at the Mathrubhumi International Festival of Letters in Kerala. The actor bashing The Kashmir Files and its director Vivek Agnihotri. He also slammed the boycott gang present on the social media for creating trouble for Shah Rukh Khan’s latest outing Pathaan.
Talking about The Kashmir Files, Prakash Raj said, “If they want to ban Pathaan, it is going Rs 7 crore. These idiots and bygone scoops didn’t run Modi’s film for Rs 30 crore. They are just barking. They don’t bite. Don’t worry! Sound pollution! The Kashmir Files is one of the nonsense films, but we know who produced it. Shameless. International jury spits on them.”
Taking a dig at Vivek Agnihotri, the actor added, “The director is asking why I am not getting Oscar. He will not even get a Bhaskar. I tell you because there is a sensitive media out there. Here you can do a propaganda film. According to my sources, they have invested around Rs. 2000 crore to only make films like this. But you can’t fool people all the time.”
Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri shared the video of Prakash Raj’s speech and hit back at the actor. The director tweeted, “A small, people’s film #TheKashmirFiles has given sleepless nights to #UrbanNaxals so much that one of their Pidi is troubled even after one year, calling its viewer’s barking dogs. And Mr. Andhkaar Raj, how can I get Bhaskar, she/he is all yours. Forever.”
A netizen named Raghavendra Rao (@rajabhi123) condemned Prakash Raj, tweeting, “No doubt has been a good villain but he is demeaning his own fellow colleagues. If you are good at something just be that, a cobbler can’t be a shoe manufacturer. Stick to your expertise people will care for you, merely few laughs will not make you a hero!!.”
