Prime Minister Narendra Modi attempts to clear misconceptions about CAA in West Bengal

Prime Minister Narendra Modi tried his best to clear the misconceptions and fear about Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary on National Youth Day in West Bengal.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was recently in Kolkata and spoke about the CAA to clear all the misconceptions to decrease the fuel that has caused all the protests in the country. PM Modi was at Belur Math, addressing the youth when he said, ‘CAA is a law to provide citizenship, it does not snatch citizenship. The government is providing citizenship through the law, it is not taking back the citizenship of anyone.’

The Prime Minister thought it best to address the youth on National Youth Day which was also the occasion of Swami Vivekananda’s birth anniversary. He was telling the youth that they were being misled about CAA. The Citizenship Amendment Act was enforced on 10th one month after it was passed by the Parliament.

The magistrates who have been facing persecution due to religion in the countries; Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan, will be provided citizenship through the CAA. He went on to say, ‘The people who believe in the Constitution of India will be given citizenship on the basis of certain legalities.’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that he is aware of what the government is doing and that they are following Mahatma Gandhi’s path. They will be facilitating migrants who are facing persecution through the citizenship law.

The entire country has turned into frenzy currently. The youth of India is out on the streets vigorously protesting against the CAA. While this has been happening, PM Narendra Modi took this moment to clarify the parliament’s decision of passing CAA.
