Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has roped in actor-turned-philanthropist Sonu Sood as the Brand Ambassador of Covid-19 vaccination drive in the state.
Captain Amarinder Singh announced the news about Sonu Sood on his Twitter page on Sunday. The Punjab Chief Minister tweeted two photos and wrote, “Happy to share that actor & philanthropist @SonuSood will be the Brand Ambassador of our #Covid19 vaccination drive. I thank him for supporting our campaign to reach out to, and protect, every Punjabi, and appeal to all to get vaccinated at the earliest.”
Later, CM Amarinder Singh shared a video and captioned it with, “Vaccination against #Covid19 will provide all with required immunity to fight pandemic. We need to ensure that all eligible persons are vaccinated at earliest & that we continue to follow safety protocols. Urge my fellow Punjabis to ensure we triumph against #Covid19. @SonuSood.”
Sonu Sood has been making it to the headlines time and again for the last one year. He has won a lots of appreciations for his humanitarian works during the tough times of coronavirus. The Punjab CM selecting him as the Brand Ambassador of Covid-19 vaccination drive is another big recognition for the actor.
Sonu Sood took to his Twitter account to share his excitement with his followers on Sunday. The actor tweeted, “It’s an honour to be a part of this drive sir. We will make sure everyone gets vaccinated soon. Together we will reach out to each and every family for a safer tomorrow. Let’s promise to get everyone vaccinated to ensure the safety of our loved ones.”
