Rana Daggubati’s father, producer Suresh Babu has slammed the reports about his hush-hush engagement to his girlfriend Miheeka Bajaj on May 20. He said that both the families had their first meeting on Wednesday.

Rana Daggubati recently confirmed on May 12 that he proposed Hyderabad based entrepreneur Miheeka Bajaj, who said yes to marry him. The Baahubali actor shared a photo featuring her with him on his Instagram page and captioned it with “And she said Yes 🙂 ❤️#MiheekaBajaj.” A week later the rumours started doing rounds that he was getting engaged to her on May 20.

But in a statement to the Times of India, Suresh Babu refuted that rumours about the engagement of Rana Daggubati and Miheeka Bajaj. The producer said that as per his family tradition the girl’s family visited his house. “We just met Miheeka’s parents over tea and that is all that happened. No, Rana hasn’t gotten engaged yet,” he told the TOI.

When asked about the marriage plans, Suresh Babu told TOI, “There’s still time for all that and we are yet to decide the engagement and wedding dates. Yes, we are looking at a winter wedding, but in the wake of the ongoing corona crisis, there is still a lot that needs to fall in place. Once everything is finalised, we will make a formal announcement soon.”

Suresh Productions has produced films in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Bengali and English and the Daggubatis have friends in all these industries. Rana Daggubati has also starred in Telugu, Hindi and Tamil films and he has made many friends across these industries. He is likely to have a big-fat wedding, which will be attended by who’s who of Indian cinema.
