A young, dashing, bright and successful entrepreneur, the scion of the Malhotra clan, Ahaan Malhotra lives a disciplined and controlled life. In what seems to be a complete contrast, Ishqi, who comes from a humble background, believes in hardwork, yet is free-spirited and vibrant in nature. Both Ahaan and Ishqi are poles apart when it comes to their personalities.
Both hold a very strong opinion about marriage as well. While for Ahaan a life partner would be the one to uphold his family values and be a home maker, Ishqi values love above everything else in the world. Shaadi ko le kar alag hai dono ki soch… par kya hoga jab love karega inhe approach?
Sony Entertainment Television presents Ishk Par Zor Nahi, a new-age, young love story of Ahaan and Ishqi – two people who are not just different in personality, but also share polarising viewpoints about marriage. Starring Akshita Mudgal as Ishqi and Param Singh as Ahaan Malhotra, the show is produced by Four Lions Films Private Limited. Ishk Par Zor Nahi premieres tonight and will air every Monday to Friday at 9:30pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.
Ahaan Malhotra is a force to reckon with in the world of business. While the outside world has barely seen him smile, Ahaan does smile… only when he is with his family and siblings. He shares a great bond with his sister Sonu (Shagun Sharma) and cousin Kartik (Rajat Verma) and can’t do without them. Both Kartik and Sonu lovingly tease Ahaan owing to his outdated ‘soch’ on marriage.
Ishqi on the other hand believes in living life to the fullest. For her, love is something that she feels can overcome everything in life. Ishqi ke naam main hi ‘ishq’ hai!
With such contrasting views, how will an unexpected encounter bring their destinies together? Tune in to Ishk Par Zor Nahi, starting tonight, every Mon-Fri at 9:30pm only on Sony Entertainment Television.

“Love is an emotion that connects everyone. Whether you believe in it or not, whether you have felt it or not, Love is something that everyone wants in their lives…’Ishk Par Zor Nahi’ is our attempt to entertain the viewers with the ‘opposites attract’ story, albeit with an interesting take, and some funny yet emotional twists that will instantly tug at their heartstrings.”
Dipti Kalwani, Co-Producer
“There is a little bit of Ahaan and Ishqi in all of us. That’s what makes this show special. While both the characters are headstrong about their thoughts on marriage and relationships, who has ever had the power over love? It will be an interesting watch for the viewers.”
Param Singh, who essays Ahaan Malhotra
“Variety is a key driver for my choice of roles, and I am glad the character I play in Ishk Par Zor Nahi is different from the parts I have been seen in before. Ahaan is a very interesting and layered character. He is a person you can love and hate at the same time, and that made it challenging for me.”
Akshita Mudgal, who plays Ishqi “I didn’t think twice about saying yes to this love story, where my character itself has ‘ishk’ in its name! The vibe, self-confidence, resolve and independence of thought that Ishqi stands for, drew me to get on board for the show. Working with the team has been a wonderful experience so far, and together, we are all a riot on the set.”
