Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (SMZS) makes better collection than Bhoot at box office

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan (SMZS) received a bigger opening and made better collection than Vicky Kaushal’s Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship at the Indian box office on the first day.

Ayushmann Khurrana and Vicky Kaushal are two young talented Bollywood actors, who have risen to fame with no strong filmy background. They have made huge fan-bases for themselves with the kind of movies they have been doing all these years. Their growing success graph has raised and the promos of their latest outing have raised a lot of curiosity and expectations of the movies.

Vicky Kaushal opened on expected lines. Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship has collected Rs 5.10 crore net at the Indian box office on the first day The genre has its loyal audience in mass pockets with strong title-value. Considering this it should have been opened to higher numbers. Maha Shivratri partial holiday also contributed to its total. It needs to increase speed on its second and third days.

Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship has beaten the records of 2018 film Manmarziyaan (Rs 3.52 crore) and 2016 movie Raman Raghav (Rs 1.10 crore). It has become third biggest opener for Vicky Kaushal after his 2019 flicks Uri (Rs 8.20 crore) and 2018 film Raazi (Rs 7.53 crore).

Ayushmann Khurrana’s film opened to superb response in Delhi-NCR and Punjab, but is expected to pick in Mumbai. Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has collected Rs 9.55 crore net at the Indian box office on the first day. It has led the race, beating Bhoot. But it is important for the movie to score on Saturday and Sunday.

Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan has beaten the records of 2018 film Badhaai Ho (Rs 7.35 crore) and 2019 movie Article 15 (Rs 5.02 crore). It has become third biggest opener for Ayushmann Khurrana after his 2019 flicks Bala (Rs 10.15 crore) and Dream Girl (Rs 10.05 crore).
