Since Sushan’t demise the topic of Nepotism was mentioned and since then there has been no going back. Netizens took to social media to called us producer Karan Johar who is well known for launching celeb’s kids into Bollywood and the fact that due to people like these many talented newcomers don’t get the spotlight they deserve. 

Now many Bollywood stars have been slammed in the ongoing nepotism debate and Alia Bhatt also happens to be one of them. Alia was launched by Karan Johar as she had made her debut in the movie Student of the Year. She was targetted when the actress took to social media and expressed her sadness over Sushant’s demise. Fans took a dig on her as it seems previously she didn’t know who Sushant was and it only proved the ignorance newcomers are faced with. And to add to it since she also is the daughter of Soni Razdan and Mahesh Bhatt and due to it she has received a lot of flak on social media. 

Now Alia’s mom Soni Razdan has also spoken about it and sided with the daughters and sons of stars in general. In a reply to a tweet from Hansal Mehta, she went on to question people who have been speaking about the debate, Soni wrote, “The expectation that people have because of whose son or daughter you are is much more. Also, those who r ranting about nepotism today and who have made it on their own will also have kids one day. And what if they want to join the industry? Will, they stop them from doing so?”.
