Street Dancer 3D and Panga have shown a decent growth in their collection at the Indian box office on Saturday. But the Kangana Ranaut starrer has failed to match the business of recent female centric film Chhapaak.

Chhapaak released on 10th January 2020 and is based on a real-life story. The film is not for the faint hearts as it gives an unadulterated reality check. The Deepika Padukone starrer has awakened a lot of unknown facts about the struggles of acid attack survivors.

Meghna Gulzar’s directorial Chhapaak released last week with its soul-stirring storyline and has received wide appreciation from all across. This film has become a start note for bringing change to the society which is already making waves.

Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak has failed the acide test, as its collection has witnessed a huge drop of around 50% on Monday and Tuesday, The movie has failed to cross Rs 25 crore mark at the Indian box office in 5 days.

Chhapaak is one of the most impactful movies of all time and carries a very strong social message. The movie opened up to the audience last week and it is being loved by one and all for its gripping and hard-hitting subject and Deepika Padukone’s portrayal of Malti.

Deepika Padukone’s Chhapaak failed to make expected amount o collection at the worldwide box office in first weekend. The movie has struggled to cross Rs 35 crore gross in the global market in three days.

Ajay Devgn’s Tanhaji has witnessed a big growth in its collection at the Indian box office on its second day. Two-week-old film Good Newzz is making bigger collection than Chhapaak in lesser number of screens on its third Saturday.

With prosthetics on her face, Deepika Padukone shot the video with Meghna Gulzar on the sets of Chhapaak and shared it with Priya Prakash Warrier on Instagram.

Challenging the notions of beauty, a new unit of Chhapaak was released titled Muh Dikhai 2.0. In this spirited video, Deepika Padukone narrates the unchallenged spirit of the various acid attack survivors.
