Tanhaji The Unsung Warrior is showing no signs of wearing down, as it braved the wave of Street Dancer 3D and collected more than double of Panga at the domestic box office on its third Friday.
With no big releases in its second week, Tanhaji collected Rs 78.54 crore net at the box office, taking its total collection to Rs 197.45 crore net in the domestic market. But the movie is clashing with Street Dancer 3D and Panga this week. Trade experts predict that these news releases might reduce its screen count considerably and take a toll on its business in its third week.
But Tanhaji managed to retain over 2,000 screens in the domestic market and continued to keep the clash registers ringing at the box office on its third Friday. Trade analyst Sumit Kadel tweeted, “#TanhajiTheUnsungWarrior may clock highest 3rd weekend collection of all time. Film is poised to rake ₹ 22-24 cr on its third weekend. Lifetime will surely go past ₹ 250 cr nett. #Tanhaji.”
Tanhaji has collected Rs 5.38 crore net at the Indian box office on its third Friday, taking total to Rs 202.83 crore net. Taran Adarsh tweeted, “#Tanhaji crosses ₹ 200 cr, shows no signs of fatigue… Continues to score, despite reduction of screens/shows + two prominent films hitting the marketplace. Will emerge #AjayDevgn’s highest grossing film today [Sat]… [Week 3] Fri 5.38 cr. Total: ₹ 202.83 cr. #India biz.”
Sumit Kadel tweeted, “#Tanhaji 3rd Fri collection is 2nd Highest of all time for a hindi film, Film is only next to #Dangal which clocked ₹ 6.60 cr on its third friday. Dangal dint face major opposition on its 3rd week but tanhaji faced a much bigger competition on its 3rd week. Truly historic trend.”
