Thalapathy Vijay is reducing his remuneration for his next movie owing to the current economic slowdown. The actor will be working with AR Murugadoss in his next film which is being funded by Sun Pictures.
As per the buzz, Vijay has agreed to take Rs 20 crore cut from the price from his earlier quoted amount. However, Sun Pictures is not happy and in talks to reduce the remuneration further.
Going by the earlier reports, Sun Pictures had agreed to pay Rs 80 crore for the untitled film, which is presently referred to as Thalapathy 65. However, he has now decided to take Rs 60 crore.
The shooting was supposed to be commenced in August, but it has delayed due to the rising Covid-19 cases in Tamil Nadu.
